The "City of Festivals" has been home to the National Date Festival & County Fair for more than 50 years, it's a week long of crazy fun with live entertainment including camel and ostrich races and a nightly Arabian Nights musical pageant. HOOP WORLD BASKETBALL FESTIVAL - DOWNTOWN INDIO

"This unique tournament will be held on the streets of Old Town Indio. Old Town Indio will be transformed into one large gymnasium. Over 300 players will participate in this event. This will include 3v3 half court and 4v4 full court categories.

INDIO INTERNATIONAL TAMALE FESTIVAL - DOWNTOWN INDIO

More than 125,000 tamales lovers fill the streets of Old Town Indio to sample every type of tamale one can possibly imagine.
